SAMPLE PLANS OF STUDY IN VES

The following represent theoretical plans of study based on current concentration requirements. In no way does any particular plan define a specific path through the department. These are only to serve as samples of how a student might think about constructing a plan of study in VES. While each plan implies a certain logical progression and assumption of difficulty, the individual courses do not necessarily adhere to any particular order of appearance and are suggestions as to how a student could fulfill concentration requirements, and whether or not they choose to end their four years with a thesis or senior year project.  Additionally, many students have the opportunity to take more than the required number of courses in the department, while others find opportunities for study abroad.

For specific course offerings please consult the current Courses of Instruction.  Students are encouraged to meet with the Director of Undergraduate Studies, Director of Undergraduate Studies for Film Studies, or Manager of Academic Programs for advice on how to construct a Plan of Study in VES.
