This show highlights work by new visiting faculty in the Department of Visual and Environmental Studies. The five artists in the opening show of the Carpenter Center for the Visual Art’s 2008-2009 season represent the growing multiplicity of disciplines taught in the department, from film and video to mixed media sculpture to animation and photography. The work in this show contemplates the intersections between contemporary art and contemporary technologies to address contemporary concerns.
